The Intellectual Property Section of the Atlanta Bar was founded in 2007 to provide information and education about intellectual property law to its members and to the community, and to create a forum for networking and relationships among the IP law community. The Section continues those goals and now has over 300 members. The Section’s educational events, which are open to Section members as well as non-members, provide timely legal updates regarding copyright, patents, trademarks, and intellectual property licensing and litigation. The Section also provides networking opportunities, and podcasts of educational materials. The Intellectual Property Section is a very active section of the Atlanta Bar, and welcomes all who are interested in any IP law related field.

Patent Agents are eligible to join the Atlanta Bar Association and the IP Section as Affiliate Members (at a discounted fee) and participate fully in all Section events.  This provides a great way for USPTO-Registered Patent Agents to benefit from the many professional development, networking, and educational opportunities sponsored by the Section.

The annual dues of $25 to become a member of the Atlanta Bar Association Intellectual Property Section is a bargain.
