A Courthouse Line

Since 1999, these all lawyer musical theatre productions have entertained audiences and have raised important funding for the Atlanta Bar Foundation’s Grants Program.

Audit Committee

The Audit Committee provides independent oversight into the organization’s accounting and financial reporting and oversees the organization’s annual audit.

Book Bar

In 2022 the Atlanta Bar Association launched its inaugural Book Club, aptly named “Book Bar.” The Club meets virtually and reads at least two (and hopefully more!) books a year, alternating between fiction and non-fiction selections.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee oversees all financial matters of the Atlanta Bar, its committees and Sections, and develops policies for handling reserves, investments, and a capital budget.

Innovation Study Group

The Innovation Study Group Committee provides mid- and long-term strategic and organizational guidance to the Board and to the Sections.

Judicial Selection & Tenure

The Judicial Selection & Tenure Committee reviews the applications of candidates for judicial positions to make recommendations on behalf of the Atlanta Bar to the Judicial Nominating Commission.

Law School Outreach

The Law School Outreach Committee works with five accredited law schools to support their students while providing opportunities to engage with Atlanta Bar members.

Leadership Academy Committee

The Atlanta Bar Leadership Academy is a focused leadership development program designed to equip rising attorneys with the tools, connections, and insight to lead within the Atlanta legal community.

Public Interest Executive Roundtable (PIER)

PIER is a forum for leaders of public interest legal organizations in Atlanta to share best practices, find solutions to shared challenges, learn from and support one another, and explore ways to collaborate, making all of our organizations stronger and better able to serve our clients.

We have revived the Sports & Recreation League and are currently planning the Inaugural Atlanta Bar Association Pickleball Tournament for Spring 2026.

The Editorial Board plans and directs the themes and content of the six publications of The Atlanta Lawyer magazine throughout the year.

The Legal Runaround 5K Run/Walk & Tot Trot

The Legal Runaround 5K Race Walk and Tot Trot is held annually to benefit the Police Scholarship Fund for children of police officers killed or injured in the line of duty.
