On May 17, 2018, the Bankruptcy Section hosted its annual David W. Pollard Award & Spring CLE Program.  The event was held at the Ansley Golf Club.  Each year at this program, the Board of the Bankruptcy Section presents the David W. Pollard Achievement Award to "a person who is a member of the Atlanta Bar who best exemplifies the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in the bankruptcy practice."  The award has become a life-time achievement award.  We were pleased to present the 2018 David W. Pollard Achievement Award to Jeffrey W. Kelley of Troutman Sanders LLP.  

The event began with a CLE program presented by Sean Carter.  In his presentation, Carter highlighted and discussed ethical challenges and issues with an engaging approach, interspersing a bit of humor to keep the audience involved and entertained.  

The CLE program was followed by a luncheon honoring Jeffrey W. Kelley.  During the luncheon, the outgoing Officers and Board members of the Section for the 2017-2018, including the outgoing Chair, the Honorable Jeffery Cavender, were recognized for their contributions to the Section.   

The Officers and Directors of the Board for 2018-2019 include:  Vania S. Allen (Chair), Melissa Davey (Chair Elect), Bruce Walker (Secretary), Gregory Taube (Treasurer), Jeffery Cavender (Immediate Past Chair), B. Summer Chandler, Sameer Kapoor, Howie Slomka, CC Schnapp, Doroteya Wozniak, Michael Bargar, and Aimee Picket Sanders (Members at large).
