Sally Hogsette is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, a 1981 graduate of Emory University School of Law and has practiced law in Atlanta throughout her career. She served as Law Clerk to Justice Charles L. Weltner in the Supreme Court of Georgia, served as Assistant General Counsel with Life Insurance Company of Georgia, and for 20 years practiced law with Delta Air Lines, Inc. specializing in international law. As General Attorney at Delta Air Lines, she helped lead the company’s rapid international expansion, with responsibility for its law-related activities in 45 foreign countries spanning Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. After 30 years of practicing law, she retired from Delta’s Law Department to become the first full-time Executive Director of the Atlanta Bar Foundation.
Sally has served on the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations in Atlanta including the Atlanta Bar Association and Atlanta Bar Foundation, most recently serving as Treasurer of the Foundation before being appointed as Executive Director. She is a Trustee of the National Conference of Bar Foundations and a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia, American Bar Association, American Corporate Counsel, International Bar Association and Lawyers Club of Atlanta.
